Tell us about your trip.
It was a happy accident. I was thinking about what to do after a long job in a bank. Then I had a chance Zumba, began the course and began teaching. That student who took part in my first class, who said so many wonderful things after class, made me believe that I was born to do that. I was here to change lives, to make people more fit, healthier and happier. Then there was no looking back.
What role has Zumba played in your fitness career?
Zumba is great dance fitness format. It’s so much more for me too – it changed my life. I got into the world of Zumba fitness and it taught me how to do fun fitness.
How is your daily life?
I had a baby a year ago, so it’s different compared to the one I didn’t care for now. I gave birth to a baby in July 2020, at the peak of the first Covid wave and started working a month later. I have lost 10+ pounds of gain pregnancy working from home. I had my fitness ability for cardio and then I got dumbbells to train my strength and did yoga twice a week.
I wake up to feed, play, bathe, feed again and go to bed at ten in the morning to take my first nap. Then I go to the gym or get calls for work. I have lunch at 1:30 pm, feed him, and call him back to work.
After finishing work by seven in the afternoon, my time is Yona’s daughter. Most of the time we are in bed by 10:30 pm. So my life today revolves around him, training, and work (in that order).
What inspires you about fitness?
So many things:
* It gives me a boost trust
* It makes me look good
* It gives me the energy to do my daily activities well
* I’m glad
* It makes me healthy
* It helps me change my life for the better
* Above all, it helps me age.
How do you see sensitivity and sensitivity about the pandemic?
To me, it seems that India is finally ready for the need for exercise. So far it has been a luxury. The Indians are understanding that regular exercise and helps the movement become fit and healthy, and can have long-term benefits. Maintaining good health implies good immunity and generally makes us stronger to deal with certain diseases and conditions. So today people are aware of why daily movement and fitness are key. It’s not, ‘I have a special moment and I need to lose a few pounds’. It’s all about becoming a fitness habit.
What was the idea of relaunching the Belly Burn program in Cult.fit?
Everyone wants a flat stomach, washing machine abs, six packs. While this is entirely possible, it will require a lot of effort and work. The Belly Burn program does not promote spot reduction, which is impossible. It helps build a strong core and as we exercise to get a strong core, a lot of belly fat will disappear. The program also promotes HIIT – these are high-intensity and low-intensity workouts. Strong bursts of energy use more fat as fuel and the breaks in between to help extract muscle debris.
It is based on burning whole body fat and strengthening the core. And that’s what people who experienced it for the first time did. We had over 30,000 people in attendance and actively participated with us to get better workouts, using meal plans and group discussions.
How do you see weight loss?
Weight loss it is fat loss. We need to lose that unnecessary fat in the body. Fat is the cause of many health conditions. Having higher belly fat carries a number of health risks: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and so on. To protect ourselves from these conditions, we need to gut that fat that is found around the organs.
The other type of fat is subcutaneous fat or grease under the skin. It’s the kind we can squeeze and hold with our fingers. Accumulation in the body of genetics and lifestyle. Small amounts of subcutaneous fat tend to be harmless.
Not only belly fat, but fat loss in general means good health. You can have workouts, tips, and meal plans among the best in this area, but it won’t help if you’re not consistent. When you exercise regularly, eat well, move, sleep well, the by-product is weight loss / fat loss.
Want to soak up the fitness myths?
It makes you fat.
No, good fat is needed to lose fat (coconut, nuts, avocado, olive oil, etc.)
You need a high-intensity workout to lose fat.
That’s not correct, as you can do 15,000 steps and brisk walks to burn fat every day.
Training with weights increases women.
No – women don’t have as much testosterone to increase as men. You will only protect your joints and muscles with weight training and age.
Any tips for beginners?
Online season or training at home is really a great starting point for beginners. All the people who were scared to get into the gyms – this is what you need! Train at home, in your comfort zone, in your “no-judgment zone” and achieve your seasonal goals. There is no injury if a beginner starts slowly and continuously and follows all the instructions of the coach and the qualified coach.
